The Biden long list is complete with 8 judges. It can be anticipated that the job of selecting the primary nominee will not be an easy task for Biden. As a measure taken to eliminate every possible contingency that may oppose Biden’s demands for filling the seat with a black woman of “…extraordinary character, experience and integrity,” President Biden has elected to employ the expert opinions of scholars and Senators from both sides of the political spectrum and lawyers who will execute and impersonal and careful examination ofthe qualifications involving the 8 candidates.

While experience and integrity stand as the primary characteristics for the next Supreme Court justice to posses, it appears President Biden has chosen potential nominees form among the best of those who may exhibit the very characteristics that a panel of judges will search deeply within the hearts and minds of each of the candidates.

Based on qualifications, neither ofthe candidates can be excoriated for their years of experience ; Kentinja Jackson, serving 12 years in the justice system, currently serving as a Judge in the US Court of Appeals, Washington D.C., Leondra Kruger is serving her 8th year and is, currently, an Associate Justice on the California Supreme Court, J Michelle Childs, serving her 12th year as a Judge in the S. Carolina Federal Court, Sherrilyn Ifill has served for 2 decades, beginning 1993 as a law professor, University of Marilyn Law school, Anita Earls has served the state of N. Carolina as Associate Supreme Court Justice for 3 years, Wilhelmina Wright has served 19 collective years 10 years as Minnesota’s Court of Appeals judge; 4 years as the state’s Associate Supreme Court Justice, currently serving 5 years as US District Court Judge, Eunice C. Lee has served 1 year as US Court of Appeals Judge, Judge Candace Jackson-Akiwumi has served 1 year as a Circuit Court of Appeals Judge,
